This is a 100% safe and guaranteed fix for this issue. 1. Right click on your task bar and select ```Task Manager```. 2. Look for ```Windows Explorer``` and click on it. 3. At the lower right of the task manager, click ```Restart```. On an unrelated sidenote, this also works if YouTube fullscreen shows the taskbar too.

Check that you have the DLC pack installed and you are running on the latest release. To see if you are running on the latest release, the server will notify you in chat if you aren't. If you do not have the DLC pack installed, click (https://titan.tf/content). If you verified that you have the latest release running, type ```snd_restart``` into your Team Fortress 2 developer console and check if it is resolved. If the above still did not work, try the following methods in the correct sequential order. They must be done exactly in this order. Type ```snd_restart``` into your Team Fortress 2 developer console. Close Team Fortress 2. Go to ```C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Team Fortress 2/tf/sound``` (may or may not have (x86) depending on your computer). Delete the file named ```sound.cache```. Go back to the ```tf/``` folder and go into ```downloads/sound``` Delete the file named ```sound.cache```. Launch Team Fortress 2. This is frequently caused by having too many upgrades or changing classes between waves. In other cases, the cause is unknown. Prevent Try to not upgrade unnecessary weapons such as your melee if you do not intend to use them. Avoid changing classes between waves (if you really want to change classes, go to the upgrades station and press refund upgrades before changing classes). If you did not have many upgrades and you get this disconnect, the cause is unknown. It is probably something to do with the map's optimization. Fix Removing all weapons and cosmetics from your previous loadout (eg. if you were a Pyro changing to a Demoman, empty your Pyro loadout).
